LINE-X London: a history of success
The LINE-X London story is one of hard work, dedication and success. Armed with a quality product and an old-fashioned work ethic, Dan and Dave Jenken have watched their business grow from a small shed on their parent’s dairy farm in Middlesex County, to a large and successful London operation with locations dedicated to truck bed liners and larger, industrial applications..
Originally opened in 1995 as Hyland ArmaGuard Coatings, their spray-on coatings business quickly grew. When the ArmaGuard franchise system in Canada dissolved, the Jenken brothers forged on under the LINE-X banner. In 2000, they outgrew their original farm location and moved to 640 Newbold Street in South London. In 2003—to satisfy increasing demand—a Cambridge location was added. By June of that year, a larger London facility was needed, and the shop moved to 28 Micro Court. By 2005, with both the Cambridge and London facilities operating—the brothers sprayed over 1300 pick up trucks, 30 trailers, automotive racking and parts, toolboxes, vacuum trucks, and tankers.
2010 was a big year; the brothers invested in their own building and moved operations to their current Hamley Road location. With business booming, Dan and Dave decided to sell the Cambridge franchise to a long-time employee, helping to balance work with the demands of their young families. Their focus is now on serving their expanding customer base in the London area.
In early 2016, with the industrial coatings side of the business growing steadily and demand for truck accessories increasing (since the addition of the Leer Truck Caps distributorship in 2015), the brothers again decided it was necessary to grow. Adding a new production facility dedicated exclusively to industrial coatings provided space for a new accessories showroom, and additional truck bays at the Hamley Road location to better serve the truck bedliner and accessories market.
The Jenken brothers are proud of their accomplishments and stand behind the LINE-X product. With hard work, patience, and understanding from their families, they have built a strong business that thrives on word of mouth advertising and increasing automotive dealership support.
